NotSoKute

    Not anymore.

Church today for the first time in a few weeks. Went with sister - Church with her is the best kind. mainly cause I get to watch her draw pictures protesting the cult-tastic words of the mister Priest during his homily. Got Nanyamka & that gave me some sense of purpose in going to that place.

"Augury? to be an exact science
with no satisfaction in it."

I don't know what this is:
But Im jealous of H & Jones Soda.

Just saw a girl, run into the arms of a guy coming off the train.
She didn't want to - I could tell. I only think she did it, because the movies tell her she should...

I think I may be a little harsh on humanity sometimes.

Snow Continues

"Underneath the ice
Lies the frozen spirit of Bice

Green are her eyes, green her hair,
The spirit of Bice is winter's prisoner" Stevie Smith

The ice defeated both us and Bice.

Worked 5am this morning, the shift mainly consisted of watching Dan make snowmen out the drive thru window accessorizing it with various Sbux paraphernalia. left leaving extremely joyous that the sun was out for my walk home... My footsteps echoed that of a little birdfriend's up my driveway:
1/2 bird friend  1/2 rosie

Didn't drink any caffeine this morning with the purposeful intention of taking a nap, which will begin shortly after this sentence.

The Best Beast

Im in a fight against time here - so much to do & yet here I sit, still saying 'no' to it all. For now Time's winning.
Coffee and Chats by the fake fireplace was nice today, coffee hibernation is the best kind.
Finished the Moleskine today, another year's worth of words on those pages. Many of my favourite entries weren't even of myself;

Pages 1&2 of 4.
This poem is a Beast, tres long, but It's the Best Beast...

The mess in our room is beginning to look a lot like the mess in my mind. Jays.

Can someone explain how one's bedside table turns into such a catastrophe?
I'll clean later, for now I'm going to retreat into a warm cup of tea with sister.
I'll get there, I'll get there, I'll get there

4th

Sitting in the library gazing at snowflakes and pictures of kitty kats when i hear..

Someone was having a seizure in the library row diagonal to me. Needless to say, this caused commotion all across the 4th floor. Bleeding from the mouth shaking, A girl held his head up while he cried to her... No competent words just wailing.

I said a prayer, the Medicine man showed up and then everyone returned to their desks.
The entire 4th floor wants to know that he ended up okay, we were all so concerned for the guy...

I'll say another prayer tonight.

Wise eyes

Don't stay inside today, the delicate snow is far to marvelously beautiful to miss.

I couldn't help but to smile to myself today after the drudge through the sludge to the bus: An old lady sat at the front reading "Christmas Beginnings" through her vintage triple thick lenses, wearing a fuzzy green beret and emerald clip-on earrings. Something about watching her sit there enjoy her book with a wise grin on her face was somewhat like my Christmas Beginning to the snowy season. It brought me back to Christmas bazars in church basements and the like from 10 years ago...

My outdoor endeavors today are being made even more elegant through the melodies of Final Fantasy that guide my cold feet across the icy pavements. There's a special something in each note that seems to bring out a similar sentiment in each snowflake.

In a few months we'll all look like

reindeer people.

Negative

Burst Bubbles By: Donna Meyers...Much like my burst bubble - jays!

So I think my attic apartment dreamscape is fading - haven't heard any reply from the chick since offering her the deposit, strange times. H-face says i need to think more positively, I think that I shouldn't dream too far... thats all.

Hey Boy! come find me.

Hey Haiku! Im coming for you.

Writing on here will be less frequent I'm sure - My love affair with them tanned Moleskine pages has ensued again for the winter hibernation. Summer and fall is all about the keyboard - Wintry snow is all about the pencil.

Pawking Metaws

Its been a while. I decided to let myself fall back in love with pencil on paper... Electronic-land doesn't exactly fly for me. Im thinking of becoming a hermit. (But really Rosie? a hermit, no) Yea, perhaps not. I should still like to be a pair of ragged claws.

Saw Bob Dylan Monday. It doesn't feel like it really happened, Its difficult to imagine yourself in a room having someone so legendary hanging out with you - I mean, it just seems so unreasonable. It somewhat hit me even more after the fact when looking at his old interviews. The H-face was pretty upset about missing out on her all time favourite Dylan song that changed her entire view on life: Don't think twice it's alright. I think it has something to do with Jones Soda. I told her not to think twice about it & that it was alright; I think that may have just exacerbated things.

Simultaneously occurring while Robert was preforming said song - we were running to Place de Scotiabank as fast as our cold legs could take us.  We were running to Bob Dylan and away from the Drunk with the hefty Russian accent who wanted us to hitch-hike with him to the Concert about 50 paces away; a concert for which he also had no ticket...

Got there - Bob was waiting for us - He already had the band going, his hat on & his blazer all buttoned up ready to play... He danced, we danced. H-face and Emcam teared up a little. We all jumped for joy when we called us by name: "thank you fans!" Hearing his speaking voice is I think what sealed the deal for me. Dylan.

Met some fans of the older generation. They were Big on Dylan. One of them just follows him around show to show, she even had her suitcase with her ready to follow him anywhere...yeah. Definitely Big on Dylan.   One had seen him play "75 Times at least" and had some stories for us of his concerts before we were even busy bein' born. She was certainly a free spirited whimsical soul. Heart on Fire for Dylan (alongside her now dead Cat, we discovered)

Dylan thinks that if your going to experience his music; you should go see him play, so photo's & video were banned , but H-face proposed this idea instead:

"My dance with Dylan is complete, and now i dance alone again...with H-face"

Aside: Hoping to be out come january 1st and in the city. Fingers crossed on getting my kitty friend soon, little Haiku...I want you to come hang out with me! H-face with knit you a scarf if you come - so come soon!

Halloweekend

Halloween this year was good.
It began at about 4 30 am when i prepped myself for an early morning shift starting at 5am.
I dressed as a Parisian. Ana was Sailor Mars. Travis was Eyore, and Dan was a man in sbux dresscode. That shift was the fastest shift of my life, mainly because of how amused I was over people not knowing how to respond to the drawn moustache on my face...

The night followed about 6 hours later. Met up with Meg & Britt, started to get prepped for the night before heading to Noahs' for pre-drank. BUT I had to take a slight detour home when i realized I had lost my drivers license. fck. still don't know where that is...

Anyways, once I finally got to Noahs I made myself look like the prettiest little Parisian you ever did see and continued onwards to drink lovely amounts of beautiful Red Wine to keep the French Fashion legit. Took some pics, peed in a bush on the way to the bus-stop. waited for bus while singing Broadway showtunes. Watched Meg get trapped on the bus after running back on for a transfer. Got on 95.

So the whole 95 experience is still a slight blurr. I do remember Jughead from the Archie Comics being totally crude to all the Hot girls in the back - with which i responded by telling him to fuck himself and then threatened him with my heels.

Got downtown. Met up with some ex bf's and a white Bill Cosby, waited in line with white Bill Cosby and then got into Patty B's by means of my passport, because again I didn't know, and still don't know where my license is.

Inside the club we danced to some MJ, Bob Dylan and B.Spears. I chatted with Louis about John Pretrucci & laughed about his friend who was a major asshole - but in complete denial of it...Him and his asshole friend then left my purse hanging out all by itself at the table we were sitting at - nothing got smuggled though. safe.

Drank some Cran-V's and then some Keiths. I payed for all my drinks cause Im an " I.n.d.e.p.e.n.d.e.n.t - Do you know what that means mayyn?"

Met a fellow Parisian wearing a striped blue tee and a red napkin stapled around his neck. He started talking to me in french & I laughed and started faking the language. Turns out he was actually from Paris...He showed me his passport. Legitimate. I was impressed. He was impressed by my outfit. safe.

Danced some more to the live band comprised of Vampires and dead Pirates, then apparated to Zak's Diner where i had the best meal of my life probably. Louis and his jerk buddy were sitting at the table across from us...I smiled at him. but I think he wanted more than a smile. I then sopped smiling at him still bitter he abandoned my purse.

Finished the night off in a taxicab. Then in a comfy bed in Meg's room.

Halloweekend 2008 was a slice. Here are some pics to prove it:
